This weekend Gator4x4 hit the trails despite recent heavy rains. The day started off cold but warmed up and the clouds burned off to reveal a beautiful day to be outdoor.
Several spots had some water crossings as you can see, and the trails proved to be relatively slick but not impassable. It was the maiden voyage for Baz's Wagoneer, now nicknamed Total Disregard.
It turns out he didn't have enough lift to clear tires so rather than shredding rubber on his fenders the club used a discard 2x4 and and old shock we found near a mudhole to create a custom set of
chopped fenders. After some bashing we found ourselves upon a steep downhill which Baz careened down due to slick conditions. Jerry made short work of the hill and crawled down it with the help
of his manual transmission and made it look easy. Dave tackled a slick limerock climb with washouts at the bottom. Everyone had a great time with no damage or breakage to speak off. Thanks to
all who came out. Our members can view more pictures of the run in the Going Wheeling subforum where there is also a video of Dave's successful attempt on the limerock climb.
